I am very far from orchestral music and I did not think that I would ever write an article about things that I do not understand well, but life in our house inspires the development of new peaks - the recognition and classification of trombone, tuba, double bass, drums ...

You probably guessed that it will be further about singing pipes, taps and other components of the water pipe of our house.

As a rule, the orchestral symphony starts by warming up and adjusting the key of the instruments at a time when you just want to rest or vice versa - there is a certain time to sleep, and then bang and at 4 am or night orchestral music makes its own adjustments.

From my experience I want to share tips on eliminating the sources of such music. There is nothing difficult to eliminate the sounds, I mastered the "secrets" of eliminating the years in 8 from my father.

As a rule, the sources of naturally-created music are valve cranes (not to be confused with ball valves). Such cranes (see Figure below) were installed at the site of the removal of cold and hot water from the riser to all apartments of our house. Similar types of cranes were also installed in the kitchen and in the bathroom.

For reasons of wear of the valve gasket (6) when the valve is partially closed, the gasket loosely closes the seat (7) - the water pressure creates oscillations of the valve and possibly other components of the tap in the sound range, which generates "symphonic music."

The answer is simple, I found in the Internet a drawing of ancient times (below), which I put here for a step-by-step explanation (1 - 5), the key point is the cutting of the new valve gasket at 45° (step 2):

This method of cutting the edge makes the locking of the tap "under the cone", does not create sound vibrations of the half-closed faucet.

But the best way is to replace all valve valves with ball valves or ceramic faucets, such working cranes can not create sound vibrations at all, which means they can not sing and play on neighbors' nerves.
